Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking a Generator Field Service Technician to service, repair, and maintain diesel and gas engine-driven standby generators in the field for a variety of clients. The role includes preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, and troubleshooting to keep critical power systems running.

You will work with a range of brands, perform commissioning, and communicate clearly with customers about issues and resolutions.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a technical school with generators, diesel, power gen, electric power, relay, or substation technology is preferred.
• Some experience in repair or maintenance of generators is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, operating manuals, and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and maintain diesel/gas engine-driven standby generators in the field for residential, commercial, and industrial clients.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, cleaning, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning tasks.
• Document all work and communicate clearly with customers; maintain vehicle inventory and safety standards.
