Job summary

Integrated Power Services is seeking a Generator Field Service Technician to service, repair, and maintain diesel and gas engine‑driven standby generators in the field, supporting residential, commercial, and industrial clients to keep power on.

You’ll perform preventive maintenance, inspections, cleaning, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning, traveling in a company vehicle across local counties. Training is provided to grow your skills.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a technical school with generators or related power technology is preferred.
• Some experience in repair or maintenance of generators is preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude will be considered in lieu of formal training.
• Good communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Must have at least 3 years of experience driving a vehicle with a valid license.
• Must have a satisfactory driving record and ability to obtain DOT medical certification.
• Ability to service clients after hours and read schematics/manuals.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in demanding conditions.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and maintain diesel and gas engine‑driven standby generators in the field.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, cleaning, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
• Communicate issues and resolutions clearly to customers.
• Maintain a company vehicle and travel to local counties; complete field reports.
