Job summary

Integrated Power Services is seeking a Generator Field Service Technician to service, repair, and maintain diesel and gas engine-driven standby generators in the field for residential, commercial, and industrial clients.

You will perform preventative maintenance, inspections, cleaning, testing, and troubleshooting while ensuring clear communication with customers and thorough documentation. A training program supports advancement and safety is emphasized across all assignments.

Qualifications

• Technical school in generators or power systems preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in repair/maintenance of generators or related field.
• Must have valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Preventative maintenance: oil/filters, coolant checks, spark plugs.
• Inspections: visual checks on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Cleaning: oil, fuel, air filters, cooling system exterior.
• Testing: load bank, ATS, functional testing.
• Troubleshooting: alternators, wiring, switches, battery systems.
• Commissioning & Start Ups: design review, testing, switchgear, control panel programming.
• Customer service: communicate issues and resolutions clearly to customers.
• Documentation: complete reports of work performed.
