Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital in Birmingham, AL is seeking a registered nurse for a 2x12s day schedule. The unit emphasizes a 6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio on a general medicine floor and provides extensive benefits starting day one.

The RN delivers direct patient care, collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, and supports growth through precepting and leadership activities. A current Alabama RN license and BLS are required, with ACLS/NRP/PALS/TNCC as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Maintains current Alabama RN license or valid eNLC license.
• BLS certification; ACLS/NRP/PALS/TNCC required for certain areas.
• Ability to work 2x12s on days and every 3rd weekend.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs and develops/revises an individualized plan of care based on patient needs and responses.
• Respects diversity by building respectful relationships with all team members and customers.
• Functions as a patient and family advocate.
• Demonstrates nursing skills and uses equipment per unit requirements.
• Documents patient care meeting regulatory standards and coordinates care with the team.
