Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital in Homewood, AL is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for the general medicine unit. The role supports a 24-bed unit with a 6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, providing care to diverse acute and chronic conditions during nights.

You will join a team focused on compassionate care, evidence-based practice, and continuous learning, with opportunities for growth and professional development within a large health system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current State of Alabama RN license or valid eNLC multi-state license.
• BLS/Healthcare Provider certification; ACLS/NRP/PALS/TNCC may be required for designated areas.
• Ability to deliver compassionate, patient- and family-centered care.
• Commitment to maintaining regulatory standards and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop an individualized plan of care.
• Evaluate patient progress toward expected outcomes.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate care.
• Document patient care accurately in the medical record.
• Provide patient and family education and support.
• Demonstrate safe and proficient use of unit equipment and medications.
