Job summary

NFI Industries is seeking a General Manager I to lead the facility's operations and financial performance, directing exempt and non-exempt staff across inbound/outbound shipments, inventory control, and customer relationships.

You will oversee P&L, budget, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating with other sites and senior leadership to meet service levels and growth targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7–10 years’ experience managing a 100,000+ sq ft warehouse/distribution center.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (Manhattan preferred).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of warehouse equipment; OSHA/DOT/HAZMAT basics preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean/Six Sigma tools.
• Strong talent management and team-building skills; customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• Operations Management: oversee inbound/outbound shipments, inventory accuracy and staff performance.
• Develop and execute facility strategy; align resources to eliminate process problems.
• Plan labor needs based on forecasts and workload; analyze labor vs. equipment.
• Manage 1–2 key customers within the same building; supervise 100 employees during non-peak times.
• Financials: own P&L, budget preparation, and billing/audit accuracy; report performance.
• Safety and Security: enforce OSHA/industry standards, safety initiatives, and incident investigations.
• Employee Relations/Development: staff, onboarding, coaching, performance reviews, and talent development.
• Travel to other warehouses and participate in meetings; uphold company culture and policies.
