Job summary

NFI Industries is hiring a Warehouse Operations Manager I in California to lead day-to-day warehouse operations, manage staff, and drive efficiency. The role emphasizes staffing, safety, and process improvement across inbound/outbound activities in a large facility.

Responsibilities include strategic planning with the GM, labor optimization, SOP compliance, and partnership with leaders to meet performance targets while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (Manhattan preferred).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Working knowledge of warehouse/mechanical equipment.
• Familiarity with OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT, FDA regulations and willingness to certify.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, Lean/Six Sigma tools.

Responsibilities

• Develops a strategic plan with the General Manager to ensure efficient and cost-effective operation.
• Ensures shipping/receiving schedules meet operational goals.
• Directs warehouse supervisors and personnel.
• Oversees inbound and outbound shipments for timeliness and accuracy.
• Audits compliance of internal and external SOPs.
• Reviews workload vs labor hours and productivity; plans long-term labor needs.
• Provides coaching, feedback, and development for staff.
• Maintains safety and security standards and coordinates equipment maintenance.
