Job summary

NFI in Illinois seeks a General Manager I to lead a warehouse facility, directing exempt and non-exempt staff, managing inventory, vendors, carriers and customer relationships to ensure accurate orders and safe, on-time shipments.

Reporting to the Director of Warehouse Operations, you will drive labor planning, P&L, budgeting, safety, quality and continuous improvement across 100,000–500,000 sq ft and up to 100 employees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in supply chain, business or related field.
• 7-10 years in managing a large warehouse/distribution center.
• Experience with WMS (Manhattan preferred) and MS Office.
• Willingness to get certified in OSHA/DOT/HAZMAT as needed.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead facility operations, inventory accuracy, and customer/vendor relations.
• Plan long-term labor needs based on sales, forecasts and data.
• Manage facility P&L, budget, and accounts receivable with corporate support.
• Drive safety, quality, cost and delivery improvements across the site.
• Develop and coach staff, ensure onboarding and performance reviews.
