Job summary

NFI is seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager I to oversee day-to-day warehouse activities, lead supervisors, and ensure efficient shipping/receiving operations. This role will drive labor planning, cost control, and process improvement while maintaining safety standards across a large distribution center.

Candidate will partner with the General Manager, manage equipment and SOP compliance, and mentor staff through performance feedback and training.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field preferred.
5+ years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (Manhattan preferred).
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Working knowledge of warehouse/mechanical equipment.
Willingness to obtain relevant certifications (OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT) as needed.

Responsibilities

Develops a strategic plan with the General Manager to optimize facility operations.
Directs warehouse supervisors and personnel to meet schedules and goals.
Oversees inbound/outbound shipments for accuracy and timeliness.
Plans long-term labor needs based on forecasts and data.
Partners with leaders to balance staffing with workload.
Supports safety initiatives and maintains equipment efficiency.
