Job summary

K9 Resorts Luxury Pet Hotel in Succasunna, NJ seeks a dynamic General Manager to lead operations, people, and performance at the highest level. This role drives a 5-star guest experience across all departments, owning P&L and budgeting while guiding a passionate pet-care team.

You’ll oversee recruitment, training, and performance, set service standards, and build community partnerships to grow enrollment and revenue. Weekend/holiday flexibility is required.

Qualifications

• 3–4+ years of management experience in pet care, hospitality, or related sectors.
• Proven leadership in high-volume, service-driven environments.
• Strong business acumen including P&L, labor, ops and performance metrics.
• Ability to lead teams, drive accountability, and develop talent.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Sales orientation with growth focus.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Assistant Managers, Supervisors, and resort staff.
• Own full-cycle talent management: hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance reviews.
• Oversee day-to-day operations across departments and ensure cleanliness, safety, and pet care standards.
• Set and uphold 5-Star service expectations; drive revenue through services and enrollment growth.
• Monitor guest feedback and continuously improve the guest experience.
• Build partnerships with veterinarians and pet-related businesses; lead marketing initiatives.
• Manage P&L, monitor KPIs, control expenses, payroll, and budgeting.
