Job summary

Crete United in Corpus Christi seeks a General Manager to lead day-to-day operations across service, projects, construction execution, sales, estimating, field operations, and administration. This role demands a hands-on operator who understands the South Texas market and can drive both operational discipline and commercial expansion.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of leadership experience in commercial HVAC, mechanical contracting, or MEP services.
• Experience in roles like General Manager, Operations Manager, or business unit leader.
• Proven ability with P&L ownership and scaling revenue and profitability.
• Strong customer-facing skills and ability to build trust and grow relationships.

Responsibilities

• Own full P&L performance including revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, cash flow, and working capital.
• Lead service, projects, construction, and field operations to ensure execution excellence.
• Develop and implement strategic growth plans across service, retrofit, and project business lines.
• Build and mentor a strong leadership team across operations, sales, and support functions.
• Improve technician recruiting, retention, productivity, and workforce planning.
• Strengthen relationships with existing customers while expanding key accounts and new business opportunities.
• Ensure pricing discipline, estimating accuracy, project controls, and margin protection.
• Drive safety culture and compliance across all field and office operations.
• Establish KPIs and operational dashboards to improve accountability and decision making.
• Partner closely with Crete United leadership and sister companies on best practices and growth initiatives.
