Job summary

Legacy Mechanical, a Crete United Company, is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand our HVAC, mechanical, controls, and preventative maintenance solutions across commercial, industrial, healthcare, and municipal accounts. You will build long-term relationships and drive new business in the assigned territory.

You will collaborate with operations and service teams to ensure a seamless transition from sales to onboarding and long-term account success, while traveling within the

Qualifications

• 5+ years of successful business development or outside sales in HVAC, mechanical services, or building systems.
• Proven track record of generating new business and closing service agreements.
• Strong prospecting and relationship-building skills to develop new accounts from the ground up.
• Consultative sales approach to identify customer challenges and communicate value-driven solutions.
• Technical understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, and building automation.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a territory growth strategy focused on new customer acquisition.
• Identify, prospect, and secure new commercial HVAC service and preventative maintenance agreements.
• Generate leads through networking, cold calling, referrals, industry events, and strategic outreach.
• Conduct facility assessments and identify opportunities for maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
• Build relationships with facility managers, owners, engineers, and executive decision-makers.
• Present customized service solutions that reduce downtime and operating costs.
• Collaborate with service and project teams to address customer needs.
• Maintain a sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasting through CRM tools.
• Consistently achieve and exceed sales goals for new contract revenue and growth.
• Represent Legacy Mechanical and Crete United professionally.
