Job summary

Jobtailor in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a Shop Operations Manager to oversee both front and back of shop activities from vehicle intake through delivery. You will drive revenue—meeting KPIs—by optimizing throughput, quality, and coordination among Body Technicians and estimators.

The role requires leadership, decision-making, and strong knowledge of CCC ONE Total Repair Software, along with payroll and staff management duties.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Collision Industry including high-level knowledge of insurance procedures and requirements for a variety of carriers.
• Aptitude in decision-making and problem solving.

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and achieve successful results.
• Proficient knowledge and use of estimating software, CCC ONE Total Repair Software.
• Proficient with Computers and other technology.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Manage front and back of shop from vehicle intake through delivery to meet revenue goals and KPIs.
• Oversee shop throughput, production quality, and efficiency.
• Assign repair jobs to Body Technicians and prioritize teardown or paint.
• Support teammates during peak times by receiving customers, checking in vehicles, and writing estimates as needed.
• Ensure repairs meet Crash Champions and I-CAR quality standards.
• Ensure repairs are billed accurately and PPE protocol is upheld.
• Complete shop payroll and staffing processes and manage staff PTO, vacation, or leave.
• Manage daily production flow and coordinate with Body Technicians, Collision Estimators, and Parts Managers.
• Write DRP complaint estimates as needed, update estimates, and lock final estimates.
• Interview, hire, coach, and develop teammates.
