Job summary

Beyond Catering is seeking a General Manager in Countryside, IL to lead restaurant operations and develop the next generation of leaders. This GM in Training (GMIT) role builds toward our Managing Partner Program, offering a pathway to ownership, profit sharing, and long-term leadership within the Buona organization.

You will drive sales targets, manage budgets, and mentor a talented team to deliver exceptional guest experiences while upholding our family-centric culture.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership of large teams (10+ per shift).
• Experience managing budgets, payroll, revenue and forecasting.
• Knowledge of standard restaurant practices, concepts, and procedures.
• Strong administrative, multi-tasking, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets.
• Recognize revenue areas and development strategies to impact sales.
• Enforce and execute advertising, marketing, HR and training materials.
• Manage and control direct expenses.
• Monitor direct labor, food cost variances, repairs and maintenance, discounts and other direct expenses.
• Select, retain, supervise and train all employees.
• Conduct quarterly reviews.
• Adhere to established training programs.
• Determine advancement or termination decisions.
• Develop employees into shift managers.
• Provide guidance to the team and lead toward success.
• Embrace a balanced corporate structure and family culture.
• Enforce policies, procedures, and controls.

$65,000 - $85,000/annually
