Job summary

Amentum is seeking a General Maintenance Technician III to join our Operations & Maintenance team in Rio Rancho, NM. This contingent role supports responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and performing preventive and emergency maintenance on building equipment, fixtures and systems in a manufacturing environment including clean rooms.

The role requires working with a self-directed team and may involve multi-craft tasks and collaboration with other trades.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and basic drawings.
• Safety-focused with knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures.
• Team player with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to work orders and perform preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, pumps, motors, and related systems.
• Perform mechanical, sheet metal, carpentry tasks as needed.
• Operate CMMS to schedule maintenance and track parts.
• Coordinate with vendors, engineers, and project managers for installations or renovations.
• Follow safety regulations and company policies.
