Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic III - HVAC to join the Operations & Maintenance Team in New Mexico. The role provides mid-level expertise for responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and repairing fixtures and systems within a manufacturing environment.

Working with minimal supervision, you may perform machine repairs and other non-licensed maintenance, supporting licensed trades as needed. The job emphasizes safety and independent equipment evaluation.

Qualifications

High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
Three years of maintenance experience in Industrial HVAC/Industrial Mechanical Machine Repair or Automotive Repair.
Ability to work in aerial lift or scissor lift up to 30 feet.
Willingness to work overtime, holidays and weekends if required.
May require additional licensing per state regulations.

Responsibilities

Performs planned maintenance on building equipment and related services.
Troubleshoots mechanical equipment including pumps, hydraulic systems, RO/DI water systems, air and gas equipment.
Performs preventive maintenance inspections.
Develops and implements planned maintenance procedures and maintains inventory.
Assists in installing and servicing new equipment and renovations.
Provides support to project teams and vendors as needed.
Complies with regulations, codes, safety practices and permit systems.
Operates CMMS for maintenance scheduling and work orders.
Communicates effectively with customers and teammates.
