Job summary

Amentum is seeking a General Maintenance Technician III to join our Operations & Maintenance team. This contingent role involves responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and performing emergency and preventive maintenance on building equipment and systems in a manufacturing environment including clean rooms.

The ideal candidate has multi-craft maintenance experience, can work with minimal supervision, and is proficient in safety practices, CMMS, and coordinating with contractors.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or trade school certification in Industrial Electrical, Industrial Mechanical, Industrial Technology, HVAC or related field.
• Knowledge of basic electrical theory and the ability to perform basic electrical repairs.
• Mechanically skilled to assist with preventive maintenance and repairs of facility equipment.
• Knowledge of basic refrigeration theory and EPA guidelines.
• Ability to work in a team environment and use hand/power tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Safely performs duties following safety guidelines, JHA and lockout/tagout, wearing PPE.
• Operates, maintains, and repairs facility and production equipment per regulations and standards.
• Analyzes equipment failures, inspects and maintains building and production services and related equipment.
• Performs planned maintenance on building equipment; develops maintenance procedures and manages spare parts inventory.
• Supports installation and servicing of new equipment; coordinates with contractors and engineers as needed.
