Job summary

The Shelly Company, a CRH company, is seeking a General Laborer for a shift from 12:00pm to 8:00pm, with a likely move to nights 10:00pm–8:00am. You will assist the plant foreperson, operate heavy equipment, and perform general labor and maintenance tasks at the Ohio plant.

Responsibilities include welding as needed, safety hazard detection, and adhering to OSHA and MSHA standards. Candidates must join Local 18 IUOE within 60 days and be willing to travel and work non-standard hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to perform basic math and read safety rules.
• Willingness to travel and work nights and weekends when needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the plant foreperson with daily plant operations.
• Operate heavy equipment such as frontend loader and skid steer loader safely.
• Perform general labor, welding and fabrication as required.
• Identify safety hazards and report equipment malfunctions.
• Follow OSHA and MSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
