Job summary

The Shelly Company, a CRH company, is hiring a General Laborer (Construction) to support site operations in Ohio. You will assist with plant duties, operate heavy equipment, and perform general labor tasks while adhering to safety rules and procedures.

Candidate should be able to read safety instructions, work with a team, and be willing to travel or work irregular hours as needed. This role emphasizes safety and reliable performance in a demanding outdoor environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the plant foreperson with daily operations and plant upkeep.
• Safely operate heavy equipment such as front-end loader and skid steer.
• Perform general labor tasks, shoveling and routine equipment maintenance.
• Assist with welding and fabrication as needed.
• Detect safety hazards and respond to equipment malfunctions.
• Follow directions and comply with OSHA and MSHA regulations.
• Work may require night and weekend availability.
