Job summary
The Shelly Company, a CRH company, seeks a Portable Plant Equipment/Plant Operator for the night shift to support the Foreperson in producing at our portable plant locations in Ohio. You will operate heavy equipment, assist with daily plant operations, and maintain safety standards.
Responsibilities include handling multiple machines, welding as needed, and performing general labor. Travel to various sites and willingness to work nights/weekends are required to meet production goals.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
- Ability to safely operate heavy equipment and follow directions.
- Willingness to travel and work nights/weekends when required.
- Welding and fabrication skills may be needed.
- Assist with general labor and plant maintenance as directed.
- Follow OSHA and MSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Detect safety hazards and equipment malfunctions and respond accordingly.
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently, including listed machines.
- Weld and fabricate as needed.
- Assist with daily plant operations and upkeep.
- Perform general labor, maintenance, and cleanup around the plant area.
- Adhere to safety rules and procedures at all times.
