Job summary

CoVolt Power seeks a field-based technician to support the construction of a solar field and assist with mechanical scope. This is a hands-on role requiring physical work outdoors in varied conditions and strong teamwork.

Responsibilities include aiding line stringing, lifting heavy components, and performing QA/QC tasks under supervision, while following safety protocols and precise instructions.

Qualifications

• GED or equivalent preferred.
• Willingness to work outdoors in extreme weather.
• Experience on construction projects preferred.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with string line, laser, pile shakeout, and tracker QA/QC.
• Support module staging and SPC controller duties.
• Perform pile remediation and damper tasks as required.
• Follow safety protocols and work under supervision.

Job description

Activities/Responsibilities/Duties:

Assists with the following:

• String Line
• Laser
• Pile Shakeout
• Pile Remediation
• Tracker Shakeout
• Huck & BOM
• MIB
• Damper
• Module Staging
• Tracker QA/QC
• Module QA/QC
• SPC Controller

Skills/Abilities:

• Able to lift 50+pounds
• Able to conduct repetitive actions, such as stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching
• Able to stand or walk for extended periods of time
• Able to follow precise instruction and receive feedback
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work well with others, including colleagues and supervisors
• Experience working on construction projects preferred
• This position requires working outdoors in various, often extreme weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.
• Candidates must be able to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits.
• This position may also include exposure to loud noises, dust, debris, and other construction-related hazards.
