Job summary

CoVolt Power AHV in Texas is seeking a field-based, hands-on technician to contribute to the construction of a solar field, supporting mechanical scope.

You will assist with line work, calibration tools, and QA/QC tasks while working outdoors in varied weather conditions. This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to instructions.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be able to lift 50+ pounds.
• Able to perform repetitive motions and work outdoors in various weather.
• Must be able to stand or walk for long periods.
• Experience on construction sites preferred.
• Must follow precise instructions and safety procedures.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with string line, laser, pile shakeout
• Assist with pile remediation and tracker shakeout
• Assist with Huck & BOM, MIB, damper
• Assist with module staging and QA/QC checks
• Support SPC controller operations

Assists with the following:

• String Line
• Laser
• Pile Shakeout
• Pile Remediation
• Tracker Shakeout
• Huck & BOM
• MIB
• Damper
• Module Staging
• Tracker QA/QC
• Module QA/QC
• SPC Controller

Skills/Abilities:

• Able to lift 50+pounds
• Able to conduct repetitive actions, such as stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching
• Able to stand or walk for extended periods of time
• Able to follow precise instruction and receive feedback
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work well with others, including colleagues and supervisors
• Experience working on construction projects preferred
• This position requires working outdoors in various, often extreme weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.
• Candidates must be able to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits.
• This position may also include exposure to loud noises, dust, debris, and other construction-related hazards.
