The Atlantic District in Yorktown is seeking a General Insurance Agent to assess client needs and tailor the best coverage options. You will build a local portfolio through outreach in the Yorktown community and manage policy renewals with careful attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Property and Casualty license.
• Ability to manage a pipeline of prospective clients.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Clear and articulate communication skills (phone & in person).
• Proficiency with insurance rating software and Microsoft Office.
• Experience in a customer-facing sales role.

Responsibilities

• Assess the individual needs of new and existing clients to suggest coverage options.
• Build and maintain a portfolio of accounts through outreach and networking in the Yorktown community.
• Manage policy renewals and explain coverage limitations or benefits.
• Collaborate with underwriters for accurate documentation and timely policy issuance.
• Process payments and perform routine account maintenance with attention to detail.
• Keep your product knowledge current to provide accurate and helpful advice.
