The Atlantic District in Virginia is seeking a General Agency Principal to lead our Newport News office, driving strategic direction, hiring, and local market expansion.

You will mentor a high-performing sales team, cultivate community partnerships, and ensure growth objectives are met while maintaining strong ethics and compliance across operations.

Qualifications

• Active Life, Accident, and Health insurance license in Virginia.
• Demonstrated success in building and managing high-performing sales teams.
• Deep understanding of the insurance brokerage landscape and regional market trends.
• Strong track record of business development and sustainable revenue growth.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and inspire sales professionals.
• Excellent public speaking and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational abilities to manage complex operational workflows.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations and strategic direction of our Newport News office.
• Coach and mentor team members to help them exceed their professional sales goals.
• Develop and execute local marketing and recruitment strategies to expand our regional presence.
• Forge strong community ties to build brand awareness and lasting professional partnerships.
• Manage agency performance metrics to ensure we are meeting our growth objectives.
• Identify gaps in coverage or service and create actionable plans to address them.
