Cloudera is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to design and deliver AI-powered systems that accelerate decision-making and operational excellence. You will build GenAI-powered copilots, reusable AI components, and production-grade workflows integrated with trusted data sources.

You will apply deep statistical knowledge and software skills (Python, ML libraries) to production-scale problems, while collaborating across teams and maintaining high standards for responsible AI.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building GenAI-powered applications and copilots.
• Shipped AI tools or automation solutions demonstrating builder mindset.
• Production or enterprise ML experience.
• 5+ years in Data Science, ML, or AI roles.
• Curiosity for emerging AI tech and responsible adoption.
• Academic background in a quantitative field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy GenAI-powered internal applications, copilots, and workflow accelerators.
• Build reusable AI components, including retrieval pipelines and evaluation harnesses.
• Design retrieval strategies that connect LLMs to trusted internal knowledge sources.
• Develop and maintain statistical and ML models for automation and forecasting.
• Implement evaluation frameworks to measure quality and reliability.
• Partner cross-functionally to identify AI enablement opportunities.
• Create reusable datasets and experimentation frameworks for iterative development.
• Uphold high standards for quality, reliability, and responsible AI practices.
• Contribute to peer reviews for technical rigor and maintainability.
• Document methodologies and implementation details for reproducibility.
