Job summary
Nelnet is seeking a GenAI Platform Engineer to own the technical build and deployment of agentic AI solutions on Google Cloud. You will work within the GenAI delivery team to translate client needs into scalable, secure, production-quality deployments and integrations.
This hybrid role supports both in-office and remote work, with a focus on building RAG pipelines, model integrations, and architecture that meet FERPA-sensitive requirements for higher education and SLED clients.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience building and deploying GenAI/agentic AI solutions in production.
- Direct experience with Gemini Enterprise Platform or Vertex AI preferred; other platforms acceptable for ramp-up.
- Experience with RAG pipelines and grounding techniques for enterprise data.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy agentic assistants on the Gemini Enterprise Platform.
- Implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines and grounding using the platform’s capabilities.
- Integrate Agent2Agent (A2A) protocol and multi-agent orchestration patterns.
