Job summary

Carvana in Eugene, OR seeks a vigilant Safe & Secure agent to protect our associates, customers, and vehicles. You will monitor security tools, perform safety audits, and enforce gate procedures to keep operations smooth.

This boots-on-the-ground role requires walking the site, quick decision-making, and a service-first mindset. Training in first aid and emergency response is provided, with 24/7 operations and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a customer service environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• A track record of solid decision-making in a complex, fast-moving environment.
• Ability to build strong working relationships and connect with people quickly.
• Ability to organize, plan, and execute multiple tasks at once in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to handle conflict in a positive, productive way.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a service-first mindset in every interaction.
• Be the face of Carvana at the gate for associates, vendors, and visitors.
• Monitor live cameras, review footage, and investigate intrusion alerts so nothing on site catches us off guard.
• De-escalate, win with partners, and remain calm when things get hot.
• Run point at the gate using the Safe & Secure App (SAS App) and RFID tech, enforcing ingress/egress procedures.
• Manage and document vehicle movement through the Inspection Center entrance and exit gates.
• Train and certify in first aid, CPR, and AED and use it when needed.
• Know emergency protocols cold to act decisively when seconds count.
• Keep the site operational in any weather; snow removal and heat-safety protocols.
• Drive a safety-first culture by spotting hazards, running safety audits, and reinforcing best practices.
• Scan thousands of vehicles daily to ensure accurate tracking.
• This role involves walking to reach restricted or hard-to-access areas.
• Run vehicle location research and deliver clear reports to leadership when needed.
