Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Safe & Secure team member to keep the gates open, safe, and moving in all weather. You’ll be at the gate, scan vehicles, perform safety audits, and stock supplies while enforcing ingress/egress procedures using SAS App and RFID tech.

You’ll need 1–2 years in a customer service setting with strong communication and decision-making in fast-paced environments; physical readiness and the ability to work across shifts are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a customer service environment
• Strong verbal and written communication
• A track record of solid decision-making in a complex, fast-moving environment
• Ability to build strong working relationships and connect with people quickly
• Ability to organize, plan, and execute multiple tasks at once in a fast-paced setting
• Ability to handle conflict in a positive, productive way
• Familiarity with CCTV, RFID, Card Access, or other Safe & Secure technology
• Previous experience supporting an OSHA / Safety Team program
• Experience with crisis prevention and/or response plans

Responsibilities

• Lead with a service-first mindset in every interaction
• Live Carvana values and ensure they’re felt by the team
• Be the face of Carvana at the gate for associates, vendors, and visitors
• Communicate clearly with active listening and signaling
• Monitor live cameras, review footage, and investigate intrusion alerts
• De-escalate and partner with others to keep operations safe
• Run point at the gate using SAS App and RFID tech consistently
• Manage and document vehicle movement through inspection entrances/exits
• Get trained and certified in first aid, CPR, and AED and use when needed
• Know emergency protocols cold to act decisively when seconds count
• Keep site operational in all weather; perform snow removal and heat-safety protocols
• Drive safety culture by spotting hazards and running safety audits
• Scan vehicles and ensure accurate accounting and reporting
• Cover ground; walk to restricted or hard-to-access areas
• Run vehicle location research and deliver leadership-ready reports
