GBMC HealthCare in Towson, MD is seeking an experienced Medical Scheduler/Posting Clerk to coordinate surgical procedures, registrations, and related billing tasks. Under general supervision, you will ensure accuracy and timeliness across the patient care path.

You will manage OR scheduling, pre-registration, insurance verification, and communications with physicians and offices. The role emphasizes attention to detail, multitasking, and outstanding customer service in a busy hospital setting.

Competenze

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2 years medical experience required; surgical posting experience preferred.
• Experience with CPT & ICD-10 codes and medical terminology.

Mansioni

• Reserves all operating rooms; schedules related equipment and posts patients for procedures.
• Pre-registers patients and verifies insurance coverage and authorization.
• Prepares daily patient schedules and distributes to staff.
• Notifies involved parties of changes in surgery dates, times or cancellations.
• Maintains patient records and filing systems for admissions and surgery.
