Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking an organized surgical postings coordinator to schedule procedures, register patients, and maintain accurate records. You will manage OR availability, confirm appointments, and communicate changes to physicians, staff, and patients.

The role requires at least a high school diploma, 2 years of medical experience, and knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 codes. Strong customer service, accuracy, and multitasking are essential in our fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of medical experience; surgical posting experience preferred.
• Familiarity with CPT & ICD-10 codes, medical terminology, and scheduling/billing systems.

Responsibilities

• Reserve all operating rooms and schedule related equipment for procedures.
• Post patients for operative procedures and manage inpatient/outpatient cases.
• Notify stakeholders of changes in surgery dates, times, or cancellations.
• Prepare and reproduce the master operating room schedule and distribute copies.
