Mercy Clinic Springfield - Gastroenterology is seeking an administrative professional to manage scheduling, phone calls, patient reception, and related clerical tasks. This full-time role operates Monday through Friday in the Springfield, MO clinic.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, taking and routing messages, confirming and rescheduling appointments, and maintaining patient confidentiality. Familiarity with scheduling templates and Epic referrals is advantageous for efficient clinic

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsabilidades

• Answers the telephone in a friendly and compassionate manner.
• Accurately takes telephone messages and forwards them to the appropriate co-worker.
• Confirms the next day's appointments for the physicians and lab.
• Reschedules appointments for physicians as their schedules change.
• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of physicians scheduling templates by accurately scheduling the patient's problems according to physician directives.
• Directs patients to the CBO account representatives when a flasher is discovered on the patient's account.
• Promptly notifies the clinic co-workers regarding physician schedule changes.
• Demonstrates the ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision.
• Performs job functions in a manner which is consistent with protecting patient confidentiality.
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of Epic referrals by consistently working the referral report.
