Job summary

IMS Care Center in Avondale, AZ is seeking a Front Office Representative for our Gastro clinic on a PRN basis. The role focuses on phone support, scheduling patients, and check-in/check-out, with potential insurance verification tasks.

You will greet patients, explain services and payment options, and help maintain accurate records. The position requires at least 1 year of customer service experience, familiarity with Athena system is a plus, and proficiency in Microsoft software, scheduling

Qualifications

At least 1 year customer service skills and experience.
Verification of insurance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinates and manages physician clinic schedules.
Welcomes patients and explains services, payment categories, and billing procedures.
Manages check-in and check-out; verifies demographics and scans insurance cards.
Schedule prep day before verifying insurance/outstanding liabilities/medical records; informs patients of copay and deductibles.
Collects co-pays; reviews and verifies patient coverage and computes charges.
Answers all incoming calls and routes them to the appropriate staff.
Reviews daily clinic schedule to ensure appropriate authorizations/co-pays.
Makes reminder calls for appointments the next day and follows up on no-show patients.
