Job summary

Quanta Power Solutions seeks an experienced EPC Project Director to lead large-scale gas-fired power plant projects from development through commissioning. You will direct engineering, procurement, construction, and start-up activities, interfacing with clients, vendors, and internal leadership to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Extensive EPC project leadership experience for gas-fired or coal-fired power generation facilities.
• Direct experience leading combined-cycle, simple-cycle, or other thermal power plant construction projects.
• Proven success directing large-scale EPC projects across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Extensive knowledge of EPC project execution, construction management, contract administration, and project financial controls.
• Proven ability to lead large, multidisciplinary project organizations and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, cost controls, and change management.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership for execution of large-scale EPC gas-fired power projects from development through commissioning.
• Establish project execution strategies and performance expectations for successful delivery.
• Oversee scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and financial performance.
• Provide executive-level direction to PM, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
• Serve as primary interface with clients, stakeholders, vendors, subcontractors, and leadership.
• Maintain accountability for financial performance including cash flow and commercial outcomes.
• Oversee contract administration, procurement strategies, and resolution of major issues.
• Monitor progress and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure alignment with contractual obligations, client requirements, and safety standards.
• Lead resource planning, staffing, and deployment of project leadership.
• Promote safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Provide executive oversight of construction, startup, and turnover.
