Job summary

Quanta Power Solutions seeks experienced Project Managers with a proven track record leading EPC gas-fired power generation projects. This role covers large-scale energy facilities from engineering through commissioning, including coordinated efforts across design, procurement, construction, startup, and client engagement.

Travel up to 50% nationwide and a requirement to support Birmingham, Alabama office as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Proven EPC project management experience on gas-fired or coal-fired power generation facilities
• Experience with combined-cycle, simple-cycle, or thermal power plant construction projects
• Strong knowledge of EPC execution, construction sequencing, and commissioning coordination
• Experience with project controls, cost forecasting, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management
• Led multidisciplinary teams on large-scale industrial or utility projects
• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of EPC project execution for large-scale gas-fired power generation facilities from design through commissioning
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and execution strategy
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to align on deliverables and milestones
• Interface with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal leadership
• Oversee financial performance including forecasting, reporting, cost controls, and changes
• Drive planning, execution, and risk mitigation for successful delivery
• Ensure compliance with standards, specifications, contracts and safety expectations
• Support staffing, resource planning, and scheduling
• Promote safety and operational excellence across the project lifecycle
• Provide leadership to project teams throughout the lifecycle
