Job summary

Quanta Power Solutions seeks an experienced EPC Project Manager to lead gas-fired power generation projects from design through commissioning in the Birmingham, Alabama area. The role coordinates engineering, procurement, construction, startup, and client engagement to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

This position requires managing large multi-discipline teams, interfacing with clients and vendors, and driving cost controls, schedules, and risk management across the EPC

Qualifications

• Requires EPC project management experience on gas-fired or coal-fired power facilities.
• Experience with combined-cycle, simple-cycle, or thermal power plant construction.
• Skills in EPC execution, construction sequencing, and commissioning coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of EPC project execution for large-scale gas-fired power facilities from design through commissioning.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and overall execution strategy.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to align deliverables.
• Serve as primary interface with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal leadership.
• Oversee financial performance including forecasting, reporting, cost controls, changes.
• Drive planning, execution, and risk mitigation for successful delivery.
• Ensure compliance with standards, specifications, contracts, and safety expectations.
• Support staffing, resource planning, and execution scheduling.
• Promote safety, accountability, and continuous improvement culture.
• Support startup, commissioning activities as needed and provide leadership to teams.
• Provide direction to multidisciplinary project teams throughout lifecycle.
