Job summary

NiSource Inc. is seeking Field Tech Trainers to support modernization of training, technology and processes across field operations.

The role emphasizes hands-on coaching, knowledge transfer, and development of employees to execute work safely and efficiently within regulatory requirements. Candidates should bring 4–9 years of natural gas industry experience with a strong training background, excellent communication skills, and a valid in-state driver's license.

Qualifications

4–6 years of experience in natural gas industry with training background.
Knowledge of maintenance and operating procedures used in the training process.
Understanding of State/Federal gas pipeline regulations.
Excellent communications, presentation, interpersonal skills.
Working knowledge of PC applications/skills (PST, LMS, Onboard, WMS, MDTs).
DL NUMBER - Driver License, valid and in state upon hire.

Responsibilities

Coach and mentor field employees through on‑the‑job coaching and classroom training.
Develop training programs focusing on natural gas operations.
Promote safety and compliance in all training activities.
Coordinate training programs with Operations leadership and management teams.
Document training activities and provide feedback to employees and leadership.
