Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Gas Systems Engineering Manager (GCS) to lead multiple engineering teams responsible for gas and chemical systems, ensuring safety, reliability, and 24/7 operations. You will drive projects to expand capacity, upgrade infrastructure, and optimize material supply with contractors and vendors.

You will oversee safety initiatives, capital projects, lean improvements, and cross-functional collaboration with operations and maintenance, while managing budgets

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in facilities or semiconductor engineering.
• 4+ years of experience leading equipment engineering teams in a large scale manufacturing environment.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to represent the group at executive levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety initiatives and drive world-class safety performance.
• Oversee capital and capacity projects including equipment design and options.
• Improve equipment and part management using lean principles.
• Represent the department and site to external groups and agencies.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams responsible for gas/chemical supply.
• Develop annual expense budgets and support commercial negotiations.
