Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Lead Gas & Chemical Systems Project Engineer to design and manage specialty gas and chemical delivery systems. You will blend people leadership with direct project ownership across design and construction phases.

You will supervise engineers, interface with external design firms, review drawings, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and drive projects from inception through closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• 7+ years in engineering design and construction management.
• Experience in semiconductor/high-tech manufacturing with specialty gas/chemical distribution.
• PE license and advanced degree preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead people management, hiring, and performance reviews.
• Direct high-priority design and construction projects.
• Oversee external design firms and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Review RFIs, submittals, and GCS drawing packages.
• Ensure safety, codes, and environmental regulatory compliance.
