Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Gas and Chemical Systems Bulk Gas Equipment Engineer to own and optimize bulk gas supply systems across the fab. You will coordinate startup, implement improvements, and ensure safety standards while interfacing with operations, maintenance, and vendors.

The role emphasizes project leadership, hazard control, and collaboration with industrial bulk gas vendors to install and qualify infrastructure, with a strong safety and reliability focus.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Chemical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in gas/chemical supply systems operations or fab equipment utilizing gases and/or chemicals.
• Experience with bulk gas systems a plus.
• Semiconductor or electronics facility support experience preferred with safety focus.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with gas/chemical equipment design, piping, and facility support systems.
• Six Sigma or LEAN experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain bulk gas supply systems, safety standards, and improvements.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and provide technical direction.
• Coordinate startup and commissioning of new equipment; support project expansions.
• Drive continuous improvement projects to improve quality, productivity, and safety; reduce costs.
• Collaborate with vendors and Fab Engineering to enhance safety, reliability, and process control.
