Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Gas and Chemical Systems (GCS) Specialty Gas Engineering Team Lead to guide a ~9‑person engineering team. You will own and optimize gas equipment, collaborate with operations and maintenance, and lead projects to improve safety, quality, and reliability in fab gas supply systems.

The role emphasizes leadership, technical ownership of gas systems, and cross‑functional collaboration to deliver world‑class equipment performance.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical or Chemical engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum of 6 years direct operations experience related to gas and/or chemical supply systems.

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing a small team of ~9 engineers.
• Leading safety initiatives and programs to drive world-class safety performance.
• Providing technical ownership for gas systems, safety, quality standards, and improvements.
