Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor seeks a Gas Equipment Engineer to own and optimize specialty and bulk gas supply systems. You will coordinate startup of new equipment, drive improvements, and ensure safe, reliable operation in Fab production.

Responsibilities include leading maintenance, collaborating with Fab Engineering, and managing PSM/RMP processes where applicable, while pursuing cost-effective efficiency gains and standardization.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate leadership to interface with stakeholders across Samsung facilities and operations.
• Familiarity with gas and chemical equipment, piping systems, and facility support equipment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with process and equipment data trends (flow, pressure, consumption).
• PSM/RMP program management knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a multi-cultural environment and document data thoroughly.

Responsibilities

• Own gas equipment operations, safety & quality standards, and system improvements.
• Troubleshoot emergent equipment issues and guide resolution efforts.
• Plan and execute non-standard maintenance for failures or upgrades.
• Coordinate with Fab Engineering for technical support and safety improvements.
• Commission and startup new equipment installations; support capacity analysis.
• Lead continuous improvement projects to boost quality, productivity and safety.
