Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an experienced GCS Operations Manager to oversee daily gas and chemical systems, CCR shifts, IRP, and maintenance teams at the Texas site. You will lead multiple teams, ensure safe operation 24/7, and coordinate with engineering, maintenance and vendors to deliver reliable performance.

This role focuses on safety leadership, lean improvements, and budget oversight, driving world-class safety and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in facilities or semiconductor manufacturing.
• 4+ years of experience leading technician teams in a large-scale manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of gas and chemical systems through CCR teams.
• Develop newly formed IRP team to support urgent response needs in the field.
• Leadership and participation in safety initiatives, programs, and activities to drive world class safety performance.
• Drive improvements in equipment and part management, employing lean principles effectively.
• Monitor alarms, system health, and provide first level response to equipment issues.
• Serve as an ideal representative of the department and site to external groups and agencies.
• Develop and manage annual expense budgets.
• Support the development of safety and quality projects to improve GCS system performance and reliability.
• Continually drive group culture toward greater learning, development, and overall job satisfaction.
• Lead team planning and hiring process to sustain an operations team for a new facility.
