Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor seeks a Gas Equipment Engineer to own, maintain and improve gas supply systems, coordinating startup of new equipment and driving safety-focused projects across Fab operations.

You will partner with operations, maintenance, construction and vendor teams to resolve issues, optimize maintenance, and advance process control while adhering to PSM/RMP guidelines. This role supports a growing, safety-conscious manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership to interface with Samsung facilities, engineering and maintenance teams.
• Familiarity with gas and chemical equipment, piping systems and facility support equipment.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to analyze trends in flow, pressure and consumption.
• PSM/RMP program management experience is a plus.
• Troubleshooting of process gas/chemical systems with mechanical aptitude.
• Strong data analysis, teamwork and communication.
• LEAN improvement tools or Six Sigma certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own, maintain, support and improve gas supply systems and safety standards.
• Interact with operations, maintenance, construction and vendors to sustain equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide technical direction to resolve.
• Plan and execute non standard maintenance and equipment improvements.
• Coordinate startup and commissioning of new equipment installations.
• Develop and drive continuous improvement projects for quality, productivity and safety.
• Optimize preventative maintenance strategies for aging assets.
