Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Gas and Chemical Systems Bulk Gas Equipment Engineer to own and improve critical bulk gas supply systems, coordinate startup of new installations, and drive safety and reliability across fab operations.

You will lead cross-functional teams, analyze process data, and push continuous improvement projects while ensuring compliance with process gas and chemical handling standards.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical or Chemical engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years direct operations or maintenance experience with gas/chemical supply systems or fab equipment using gases/chemicals.
• Experience with bulk gas systems and/or industrial bulk gases is a plus.
• Semiconductor/fab facility support experience preferred, with emphasis on safety and hazardous process materials.
• Strong technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate bulk gas equipment systems, ensuring safety, quality, and reliability.
• Coordinate startup and commissioning of new equipment installations.
• Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance safety, productivity, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and vendor teams to optimize processes and equipment performance.
• Develop and implement standardization and preventive maintenance strategies across the gas equipment fleet.
