Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a GCS Operations Manager to lead gas and chemical systems operations 24/7, coordinating CCR, IRP, and maintenance teams. You will champion safety, drive reliability, and manage budgets while coordinating with engineering and vendors to deliver world-class results.

The role requires overseeing daily operations, developing teams, and advancing safety initiatives at a cutting-edge semiconductor site in Austin. Strong leadership and Lean skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in facilities or semiconductor manufacturing.
• 4+ years of experience leading technician teams in a large scale manufacturing environment.
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to personally represent the group in all matters to executive levels (internal and external).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of gas and chemical systems through CCR teams.
• Develop newly formed IRP team to support urgent response needs in the field.
• Lead safety initiatives, programs, and activities to drive world-class safety performance.
• Drive improvements in equipment and part management using lean principles.
• Monitor alarms and system health; provide first-level response to issues.
• Represent the department to external groups and agencies; manage annual budgets.
• Support safety and quality projects to improve GCS system performance and reliability.
• Lead planning and hiring to sustain an operations team for a new facility.
