Job summary

Prismhr Hire is seeking a Guest Services Associate to work on the OTB floor, greeting guests and providing friendly service. You will handle cash, explain terminal operations, and assist with rewards program information while upholding gaming regulations.

The role requires the ability to learn wagering equipment, maintain accuracy with cash handling, and maintain a professional appearance in a busy indoor casino environment. Flexibility for long shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• Friendly personality comfortable initiating greetings and conversations
• Experience using basic tools
• Previous proven experience accurately counting, handling, and keeping track of money
• Ability to quickly learn, pari-mutual equipment, and rules and regulations
• Basic understanding of, and experience using, computers and computer programs
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, including both written and verbal forms
• Professional appearance and personal hygiene as deemed appropriate by supervisor
• Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
• Verify right to work in the United States
• At least 21 years of age
• Obtain and maintain the required Gaming License.
• Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screenings.
• Work is performed indoors.
• More than 40 hours a week will be required at times. Work hours subject to change.
• Must be able to work long hours under busy conditions.
• Subject to hazards which may cause personal bodily harm; smoke, common colds, influenza, dust, odors, and elevated noise levels.
• Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclined, hard and soft carpeted floors, cement structures and surfaces.
• Duties may involve walking, standing for long periods of time, sitting and crouching.

Responsibilities

• Walk the gaming area and interact with guests in an attentive, upbeat manner
• Explain how terminals operate, Winners Club benefits, and site amenities
• Listen to guest concerns and attempt resolution when possible
• Count and maintain cash bank and transactions accurately
• Keep the gaming area clean, stocked, and well maintained
• Troubleshoot minor repairs on wagering terminals and player tracking system
• Collaborate with staff and guests, resolving disagreements courteously
• Ensure compliance with gaming laws and internal controls and procedures
• Maintain positive relations with supervisors, employees, and regulators
• Follow supervisor instructions and work efficiently in calm or busy conditions
• Perform additional duties as assigned
• Adhere to all safety and security protocols
