Job summary

Blue Mantis in Philadelphia is seeking an IT Operations Engineer to support enterprise data centers and game-day IT. You will manage Windows, Linux, UNIX, cloud and virtualization, with a focus on high availability.

The role requires strong networking, scripting, incident management, and security best practices, plus the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment during major games.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• CCNA and CCNP ITIL or equivalent certifications preferred.
• Experience in a complex multisite environment.
• Proven expertise in Windows, Linux, and Unix server/cloud operations.
• Ability to provide game-day support during major holidays.

Responsibilities

• Server Administration: Manage Windows, Linux, and Unix environments for optimal performance.
• Cloud Operations: Administer AWS, Azure, and O365 for workloads and containerization.
• VMware: Manage virtualization for scalability and availability.
• System Monitoring: Use SolarWinds and DataDog to ensure reliability.
• Incident Management: Lead resolution and meet SLAs, escalate as needed.
• Documentation: Create topology maps and troubleshooting procedures.
