Job summary

La-Z-Boy is hiring to join our dynamic team where ambition drives success. You’ll sell furniture and design services, cultivate long-term customer relationships, and support in-store promotions while following the La-Z-Boy selling process.

Training pay starts at $15/hour for 2–6 weeks with uncapped commissions thereafter. Average annual earnings after training range from $45,000 to $65,000+, reflecting base pay, bonuses, and commissions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous selling experience and ability to close a sale strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, customer service skills, and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate, build rapport, and positively influence.
• Demonstrated persuasion and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Drives Sales: contribute to store sales goals by selling furniture, accessories and services.
• Promote the Design program and assist the Designer to achieve Design sales goals.
• Execute the La-Z-Boy selling process and provide a favorable customer experience.
• Develop and utilize sales skills from approach to closing and follow-up.
• Schedule professional home consultations for customized room designs.
• Provide high level of customer service and ensure informative experiences.
• Maintain knowledge of product lines and participate in store promotions.
