Job summary

Everstory Partners in Covington, VA is seeking a Sales Counselor to assist families in selecting funeral, cemetery, and merchandise options while providing compassionate guidance.

The role offers first-year earnings between $50,000 and $70,000 with uncapped commissions. Trainees receive $18.00/hour during a 6-week training, and leads come from walk-ins, calls, and proactive prospecting. This is a full-time position with travel reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some education in Business, Marketing, or Sales preferred.
• 1 year of sales experience preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle. Mileage reimbursement provided for travel.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Outlook) required.
• Experience with a CRM (lead management system preferred).
• Strong attention to detail with problem solving skills.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work some holidays, evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Sells pre-need and at-need funeral services and inventory, cemetery services, property, and merchandise.
• Assists families with funeral selections and attends services.
• Leads are generated through walk-ins, inbound calls, and proactive prospecting.
