Job summary

Everstory Partners is seeking a Sales Counselor at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Fredericksburg, VA to meet families, understand their needs, and guide them through selecting funeral and cemetery options. You will sell pre-need and at-need services and build a robust pipeline through outreach and referrals.

You will manage leads in HubSpot, support community outreach, and work with funeral home and location leadership to ensure a compassionate, seamless client experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Bilingual or multilingual proficiency is a plus, particularly in Spanish, Chinese, Tagalog/Filipino, Vietnamese, or Arabic.
• One year of experience in sales or relationship-based roles preferred.
• Experience using CRM software such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms preferred.
• Comfortable working in a commission-based, performance-driven sales environment.
• Strong sales communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with multiple leads and follow-ups.
• Proficient with email, Office apps, and confidential information handling.
• Availability for occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have valid driver's license and access to a vehicle; mileage reimbursement provided.
• Must obtain required licenses within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Meet with individuals and families to understand needs and recommend funeral and cemetery products and services.
• Sell pre-need and at-need funeral services, cemetery property, memorialization products, and related merchandise.
• Build and maintain a pipeline through leads, referrals, networking, and outreach.
• Respond to inbound leads, inquiries, and walk-ins; conduct follow-ups throughout the sales process.
• Develop long-term relationships with customers and community members.
• Explain products, pricing, and options clearly and compassionately.
• Guide customers through purchasing decisions and complete sales contracts and documentation.
• Use HubSpot to manage leads, relationships, appointments, and sales opportunities.
